Overview

These Terms & Conditions govern your interaction with Family & Fellows Foundation ("the Foundation"), including use of our website, participation in programs, volunteering, donating, or receiving services. By accessing any Foundation channel you acknowledge the Code of Conduct, Project Life Cycle, and Volunteer Management frameworks described in our governing policies.

Acceptance of terms

Accessing, browsing, or contributing to Foundation initiatives constitutes acceptance of these terms. If you disagree with any provision, you should discontinue use immediately. We may update terms periodically and will publish revisions on this page. Continued engagement after changes take effect implies acceptance of the revised terms.

Governance and ethical standards

The Foundation upholds principles of self-respect, integrity, accountability, fairness, stewardship, and transparency. Representatives—including Board Directors, Management Committee members, employees, volunteers, and program advisors—must:

  • Comply with the Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy, including annual acknowledgement.
  • Disclose actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest using the prescribed declaration form.
  • Safeguard confidential beneficiary, donor, financial, and operational data.
  • Use Foundation assets solely for organisational purposes and report suspected fraud or misuse immediately.
  • Maintain political and religious neutrality when acting on behalf of the Foundation.

Program and project participation

All initiatives follow the Project Life Cycle template, which covers feasibility, approvals, funding controls, execution, monitoring, and closure. Participants agree that:

  • Needs assessments, resource scoping, and board approvals must be completed before project launch.
  • Funds—especially Zakat contributions—are routed through designated accounts with separate ledgers.
  • Procurement, site inspections, geo-tagged progress evidence, and audits may be applied to ensure accountability.
  • Beneficiary records are maintained securely by the Secretariat.

Volunteer engagement

Volunteers join the Tiered Volunteer System and agree to:

  • Record attendance through approved check-in methods and maintain required performance ratings.
  • Undergo 360° reviews, adhere to promotion benchmarks, and accept potential tier reduction or suspension for unresolved complaints or ethical breaches.
  • Uphold confidentiality, neutrality, and respectful conduct during all assignments.

Donations and financial contributions

Donations are voluntary and used for approved educational excellence, healthcare, food security, disaster management, and social welfare programs. Unless required by law, donations are non-refundable. Donors may request transparent reporting on utilisation. We reserve the right to decline contributions inconsistent with our ethical standards or legal requirements.

User responsibilities

Users agree not to:

  • Misrepresent affiliation with the Foundation or misuse our name, marks, or content.
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or content that is defamatory, discriminatory, or unlawful.
  • Harvest personal data or attempt unauthorised access to Foundation systems.

Limitation of liability

The Foundation will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of our services, programs, or website. Total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have donated or paid directly to the Foundation, where applicable. Content is provided "as-is" without warranties of completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Intellectual property

Logos, program names, publications, photographs, and digital assets are property of the Foundation or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or modify materials without prior written consent. Proper attribution is required when referencing our work.

Compliance and reporting

Breaches of these terms, the Code of Conduct, or relevant laws must be reported to the Audit & Compliance Committee or via info@familyandfellowsfoundation.org. Whistleblowers acting in good faith are protected against retaliation. The Foundation may suspend access, terminate engagement, or pursue legal remedies for violations.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Islamabad or Lahore, unless otherwise required by statute.
